Who we are, why we're here.
Two McCauleys and Beth Logan form the core of InsideOut Solutions. Their vision and persistence have made us what we are today—an industry-leading provider of web development, search engine and email marketing, and print services for the travel industry. Around that core, we have assembled a motley quirky diverse and talented team with a relentless focus on understanding and enabling our clients.
Individually and collectively, we have chosen to be here, in Sequim, because we love this place. It resonates for us. And while the place you have found may be quite different from ours, if you feel like it's the most beautiful place on earth, then we know where you're coming from... figuratively and literally.
Beth Logan
1-800-500-8401 ext 303
Beth Logan is InsideOut's lead web designer. Her beautiful websites capture the essence of her clients' properties—a skill which has been recognized by awards such as PAII's Designer's Challenge. Since the B&B industry is based on providing unique experiences, she realizes the importance of conveying that individuality in her award-winning designs.
But there's more to her work than creating a pretty face. She also works with the web team to make sites search engine friendly and easy-to-use. "I love to design dynamic and functional sites that help draw people to a client's website," she says. "It's always rewarding to learn that one of my designs has led to increased bookings." Beth is dedicated to creating long-lasting relationships with her clients. They love working with her and appreciate her responsiveness to questions, as well as her attention to detail and honest feedback.
Originally, Beth had planned to become an elementary school teacher, that changed when she discovered the web. As an artist she loved the outlet to use her skills in a way that helped sell the experience of individual inns.
Over the past decade the business, as well as her boys, Ben and Charlie, have grown. After work, and the lap top is put away, you'll find Beth outside with the boys, tending to her gardens and chickens. If she's not there, she's at her piano, where she finds solitude playing her favorite music.

Beth Klaus

Office Manager Beth Klaus studied accounting in college. This served her well when she and her husband, Jeff, purchased a family restaurant. The business also gave Beth excellent experience in management and in developing close customer relationships. After selling the restaurant, she has worked as a bookkeeper/office manager handling numerous responsibilities for companies large and small.
From Illinois, Beth moved to Washington State's Olympic Peninsula with Jeff and their youngest son (their eldest remained for college). Since relocating, they have been building their dream home themselves, board by board. While this leaves little free time, the help of family and friends has made the process an enjoyable one.

Kailey Lampert
1-800-500-8401 ext 312
Kailey was born in California's Bay Area and she lived there until 1999 when she moved up to Port Angeles, Washington with her family. Although the youngest of three by nearly 5 years, she feels more like a big sister than an aunt to her 8 year old nephew.
Kailey can't remember a time when her home was without a computer so she quickly became fascinated with all they can do, and after a brief lesson on HTML in seventh grade, she came to have a deep interest in web-development. However, at the time, she didn't really get it, so after graduating from Port Angeles High School, she took two years of geek classes at the local community college and figured out everything she was doing wrong. Since then, she has taught herself even more and continues to expand on her understanding of web-building languages.
When she's not glued to her desk, she does enjoy traveling to wherever so that she can grow her playing card collection, which is currently somewhere around 230 complete decks.
Other non-techy hobbies including wearing silly t-shirts and fun socks - sometimes even at the same time!
Katie Pate, we will miss you!
Katie is off to get her Masters from Louisiana State University, all of us at InsideOut will miss her greatly.
Katie, is a published writer with a BA in Media Studies and English from Scripps College in Claremont, CA. After finishing school, Katie traveled to Belize, Central America to volunteer with the National AIDS Commission of Belize, where she helped the Commission to create a community resources guide, a national television ad and wrote for the Commission in local papers. She also managed a local band and became a dancehall queen during her stay in beautiful Belize.
When Katie returned to the United States, she came to live with her family in Washington State. In November 2007 she participated in a 9-week internship for the Sequim Gazette, which lead to a profitable free-lance position at the paper.
Then she joined Insideout Solutions, and has been with us since August of 2008. Now she's off to the big leagues to study Media Communications.
From the staff at InsideOut:
Katie, you and I started working here at InsideOut only a few weeks apart from each other, it's been great working and learning with you, hearing your voice and laughter everyday, I will certainly miss it! Happy trails! ~Lisa
It is with mixed emotions that I write this note. I truly enjoyed working with you (and playing too!), and I hate to say goodbye. I know however that going and grabbing this opportunity by the horns is the best decision for you. I wish you all the luck and happiness in the world. Congratulations, with Love ~Beth Logan

Waah & yay! I will miss your laughter, fabulous shoes and sparkling presence. Many happy adventures to you, Katie! ~Jennifer
It's been fun fun fun! WordPress and Promo and Code and SEO all over the place! (and hey! maybe Jeff will finally get our extensions straightened out.... or not) We may be happy for you, but that doesn't mean we're glad to see you go. Have fun and miss us! ~Kailey
Katie has been the best employee to ever work at InsideOut. Maybe the best employee that we will ever have. I want to thank Katie personally for detailing my car every month and coming to the house and washing all the windows every week was really nice. The home cooked meals were superb. OK, seriously, we will truly miss her and wish Katie all the best in her studies. She better come back and visit. Take care ~Jim
I think a purloined and reconditioned song probably says it best:
We love you Katie
Oh yes we do
We love you Katie
And will be true
When you're not near us
We're blue
Oh, Katie, we'll miss you
(from the non-existent broadway play "Bye Bye Katie")
We will miss you, Katie - it has been a real pleasure meeting and working with you: you're one of a kind. Good luck in all you do! ~Corey
Now who am I going to pick on at company parties? I'll miss you and wish you all the best! ~Shawn
Katie I can bearly stand that you are leaving us.~Jeff
The web/seo department just won't be the same without you. It's been a great 2 years. I hope those Louisianans know what they're getting themselves into. Have fun and keep in touch. ~Jack
Katie, it was great working with you the little time we worked together! You were always able to brighten up the office (and not just with the artifical sun you brought in either). Hope you enjoy your time in the South. The culture will fit you well. ~Brad
Thanks for the curiosity, the enthusiasm, and the relentless pursuit of free incoming links. In years B.K. (before Katie), marketing around here was a task, now it is a team. Best of luck cleaning up the oil spill or whatever it is you're doing down there in Louisiana. I know it must be super important if you're leaving us. ~Steven
Katie, Sorry I missed your great send-off. I am going to truly miss you, your laughter and bubbly personality. I wish you the best, and know you will go many places and accomplish great things! Keep in touch ~ Beth Klaus
Lisa Lidback
1-800-500-8401 ext 315
Lisa graduated in 2008 from Peninsula College with her associates degree in Multimedia Communications, and shortly thereafter got a job at InsideOut Solutions as a Web Technician.
With a creative mind and a bug for exploring, she taught herself html and was building webpages in middle school, and fell in love with photography in high school, and discovered interest in graphic design in college. Since working at InsideOut, she's gained interest and skills in web development and design, and has taken on several personal design projects.
Her dream job (besides her current one) is to travel the world as a photographer for National Geographic Magazine, or as a freelance web designer (or both!). Lisa keeps busy dancing, surfing, snowboarding, taking pictures and traveling in her spare time.
Shawn Kerr
1-800-500-8401 ext 307
Shawn began his career in educational software in 1987, starting as a graphic designer for an award winning pre-school alphabet game. In late-1993 through late 1994, he managed the creative services department for an acclaimed Ancient Hebrew courseware product; the first full-year post-secondary computer-managed-instruction course ever to be accredited by colleges, universities and seminaries around North America.
In the latter half of the 1990s, Shawn went to work in entertainment software, including Chess, Horror & Casino games and Mapping & Genealogy applications. Shawn's first experience with web design came in 1997, when he was the only one on his team to raise his hand as a volunteer to build a web site for the chess title. He's been involved with web design ever since.
By late 1999, Shawn wanted to settle down with Tanya, his fiancee, and found a position working for a small Port Angeles internet services company in mid-2000. Shawn and Tanya purchased the former home and some of the cattle farm acreage of Tanya's grandparents in Sequim and were married there in September of 2000.
When away from the glow of a computer monitor, Shawn & Tanya enjoy playing with their three dogs & three cats, tending their orchard, garden & chickens, sharing in the never-ending maintenance of & improvements to their 80+ year old farmhouse, traveling and hiking. Shawn & Tanya were volunteer organizers on the "Fill That Truck" charity drive, which delivered several thousands of dollars worth of donated furniture and household items to people affected by the late-2007 Lewis County floods. On those rare moments alone, Shawn enjoys writing fiction, sketching, collecting music and reading everything from philosophy to comic books.
Laura Alisanne
1-800-500-8401 ext 314
Laura's favorite book growing up was "Harold and the Purple Crayon," a story about a boy who could draw his world, traveling far and wide, creating lush landscapes, battling dragons and getting himself in and out of sticky situations. Perhaps as a result of this book, Laura developed a passion for art at an early age, one that she has sustained throughout her life.
She has channeled her sense of design, keen eye for detail, and love of precision into graphic and web design, as well as sculpture, silversmithing, painting and writing. During her 20's she was fortunate enough to be able to live and work in some of the great European cities, and regions, including Paris, Berlin and Cork, as well as travel on her bike through Normandy, Brittany, Provence, Tuscany, and most of Ireland.
She has a passion for teaching, and has worked as an arts educator to a diverse population in Seattle through the public schools, and was founding director of a local arts program for people ages 2-85.
She holds degrees in Journalism and Printmaking from University of Oregon, Graphic and Web Media from Peninsula College, as well as Poetry Writing from University of Washington. She pursued her study in Fine Art at the Crawford School of Art in Cork, Ireland, and French Language Studies at the Sorbonne in Paris. Her art has been seen in Paris, Berlin, and at the Seattle Art Museum, and she is a published poet and photographer.
Her love of cultures, language (both foreign and domestic), graphic and web design, writing and communications make her a great fit in the SEO department at InsideOut Solutions.
Corey Edwards
1-800-500-8401 ext 316
Corey's abiding interest in creative expression has led him from designing things for his own entertainment to helping others with their designs.
Ever on the lookout for new ways to express himself, Corey dabbled in digital illustration and animation for the first time in 1989 and quickly became fascinated with the possibilities of the medium.
Moving to the Olympic Peninsula from Northern Colorado around the turn of the century, Corey delved more seriously into computer-aided possibilities, teaching himself web design and digital photography.
After a number of stints helping others with their designs and sites, Corey decided to turn pro and enrolled in Peninsula College with an eye on an AAS Degree in Multimedia Communications.
Towards the end of his degree, an internship at Northwest Magazine, a bi-monthly, 96+ page print publication, blossomed into the position of creative director until the publication's untimely demise in 2008. Shortly thereafter, Corey joined forces with InsideOut Solutions where he continues to grow his knowledge and experience.
Corey enjoys writing, reading, atypical musics - both collecting and creating - producing perplexing and humorous graphics on his computer, and, best of all, spending time with his daughter.
Brad Doss
1-800-500-8401 ext 312
Brad moved to the Olympic Peninsula in February of 2009 from his long time home of Springdale, Arkansas. Itching with the bug to move west for several years, the opportunity presented itself and he now resides in the wonderful town of Port Angeles, WA. Along with his desire to 'learn something new everyday,' the beauty and vastness of the Olympic Peninsula make each day unique.
Brad's desire to entrench himself in everything computers have to offer is an ongoing passion. After taking a modest engineering class in high school, he went on the receive a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas in 2005. Working up from the foundation an engineering degree has to offer and from specializing in the technical details of how a computer is actually made, he has formed the basis for his passion on web design and implementation. After walking in the door of InsideOut, he has never looked back.
Along with his love of technology, he is an avid outdoor enthusiast; hiking, biking, camping, climbing at every opportunity. Trying to capture those moments with a camera is a small passion that seems to be constantly evolving.
Oh, did we mention music? One would be hard pressed to see Brad without some sort of music playing in his vicinity. With the constant stream of music coming from only miles east, Seattle has become one his favorite places for music inspiration.
Rachel Covault
1-800-500-8401
Rachel grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Minnesota, so she enjoys working with InsideOut's Midwestern clients. But she was also bitten by the travel bug early in life, so she loves to explore new places, too. That's one of the things she enjoys about her job: even if she can't travel for a living, at least she can help others find unique and interesting destinations.
Rachel rarely stays home on the weekends. Usually she's out hiking the myriad trails of the beautiful Olympic Peninsula, but she especially likes picking up a grub hoe and helping repair and maintain the trails with groups of other volunteers.
Trina Packard
1-800-500-8401
Trina received her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. She spent three years at Cornish and six months at Griffith University on the Gold Coast of Australia studying Visual Arts. After a successful graduation show, Trina made an income selling t-shirts that she designed to friends and strangers out of her van at the beach while enjoying a leisurely lifestyle.
With a positive attitude and a creative portfolio, she landed a job in the action-sports industry as a graphic designer. For several months Trina helped create print and web designs ranging from user-manual illustrations to trade show graphics before the eventual downfall of the company.
Her journey continued as a designer working with a social media startup in Seattle. She had an opportunity to work with large companies such as Brooks running shoes, Jones Soda, Komo4 News, and various other brands for the purpose of promoting user-generated advertising. At the end of her year contract with the aberrant social media startup, Trina pursued a career as a freelance designer and moved out to the Olympic Peninsula. With several small jobs, part time study at Peninsula College in the Web Media department, playing percussion in the College jazz band, surfing, and painting fine art on furniture, Trina had plenty to keep her busy on the Peninsula.
Trina continued her freelance design work in conjunction with working for the local print shop before becoming an employee at InsideOut. Trina is extremely happy to have joined the team here at InsideOut and to work with such interesting, and passionate people. Currently she is working on new t-shirt designs after completing two surfboard designs that will be published in an Art book in the Spring of 2011.

Silas and his wife currently live in Sequim, WA. They spend their time together learning about and cooking organic foods, hiking and traveling. They also participate and volunteer for many community events and festivals.
Skyla Grimes
1-800-500-8401 EXT 313
From a young age, Skyla was captivated by technology, from computer software to every day electronics. She began honing her skills at the age of 12 and by 16, was taking college-level computer networking and repair courses. It was during this time that she was in SkillsUSA, where she realized that she had a knack for organization and public relations. She also participated in various competitions, including internetworking, computer diagnostics and repair, and technical math.
Her first "real" job was in high school, assisting customers in a hands-on environment at a big-box retail store. Once she relocated in 2005, she found her niche at an internet service company for the next five years. Here she learned the ins-and-outs of business networking, troubleshooting, and effective customer communication. Wanting to expand her knowledge and experience, Skyla decided to take on a challenging position at InsideOut, and hopes to continue to branch out and learn new aspects of the web design and marketing industry.
Skyla moved to Washington from Alabama having always loved the idea of a state that is both technologically advanced as well as having opportunities for outdoor activities. When she's not inside "geeking out" on her computer, she loves traveling Washington's varied regions and enjoying the antics of her two pomeranians.
